Kelley Equipment Company of Florida, Inc. has become a powerfull partner in the construction industry since its organization in 1984. The Kelley name itself has long been a part of steel erection as well as the name Garen N. Kelley, Owner and Chairman of the board of Kelley Equipment of Florida, Inc.

The Founder, A brief history

The founder of a 40 year old company, Garen Kelley, has over 57 years of steel erector experience. After service in the Marine Corp., Garen was steel superintendent for several large contractors and directed a broad range of jobs. Structural steel erection, millwright work, heavy riggings, setting machinery and placement of reinforcing steel for concrete are most significant. Mr. Kelley founded Kelley Steel Erectors, Inc. in 1958.

With Kelley Steel Erectors, Inc. well on its way to success in the steel industry, Mr. Kelley chose to branch out even more - into the Southeastern United States thereby beginning a new chapter in the Kelley history book.

Kelley Equipment's Growth

Currently one of the largest crawler and hydraulic crane fleets in the United States, Kelley Equipment Company has worked alongside many of the General Contractors in the Southeastern United States building many of the sports stadiums and arenas, federal buildings, commercial and private hospitals, medical facilities and hotels.

From the Miami area to Jacksonville, covering the entire Gulf coast line, Kelley cranes have built many of the buildings which grace these skylines .Locally, Tampa and Saint Petersburg skylines have been built with Kelley Equipment Company cranes and NCCCO Certified operators as well.

Creating a respected and sound business relationship with many of the General Contractors in the area, Kelley has expanded its fleet of Manitowoc, Grove and Terex cranes for these projects.

Kelley Equipment Company of Florida, Inc. currently employs 100+ and with its growth and expansion has established Kelley as one of the "Leaders" in the Crane rental industry.
